Political Cartoons

Political cartoons are mirrors of public opinion. A political cartoon is when some one draws a picture that has information about political issues. Political cartoons make it simple to understand the political cartoon’s information. In my country, sociology teachers use political cartoons in sociology class. Political cartoons influence people’s opinion.

First of all, political cartoons are information about famous person’s bad information, so people get bad image of the person. For example, political cartoons of President Bush are often on web sites, because he is a president, so he has a lot of news. Now, some people think that the president did bad things a lot. Bad information makes us believe that the man is untrustworthy.

Second, political cartoon’s characters have big impact. The political cartoon’s character is evil, so people get a bad image of the person. Cartoons character’s front teeth are rather prominent and have bloodshot eyes, but the character is similar to the person. The characters have a message. People get a bad image of the person from the character.

Finally, a political cartoon has the writer’s opinion, so people sympathize with that. For example, the writer draws the president as selfish. People are influenced by the opinion. After that, they think the president is selfish.

In conclusion, political cartoons influence many people. There are three reasons; political cartoons have information about bad person, and political cartoons have effective pictures, and political cartoons have writer’s opinions. The political cartoon’s character is sometime not truth, so it is important to keep your opinion. You should keep coming away with the feeling that persons were a good or bad.
