According to google.com (2007), “Brazil is the most populous country in Latin America, as well as one of the most populous in the world”. One reason the population is growing in Brazil is their Brazil does not accept abortions. Brazil has religious beliefs that are Catholic, which is part of Christianity. In the 19th, European immigrants brought Catholicism, and then as now, there are many Catholic people in Brazil. They are strongly bereaving in their religion. In addition, Catholicism has a taboo, which is Sex is for making baby, so they do not allow abortions. “The Roman Catholic Church says that deliberately causing an abortion is a grave moral wrong.” (BBC. News, 2007, paragraph, 1) “From that moment a unique life begins independent of the mother and father”. Therefore, Brazil’s government made laws that included their religion, so people could not get abortions in Brazil, except in unusual situations like rapes. Also, they do not accept abortion, whitch causes illegal abortion. According to J. Ross (2005 paragraph, 24) in Women’s e News, “Xavier says women often use primitive methods for inducing abortions, such as inserting objects in their uterus or taking poison”. Therefore, a lot of women take the high risk of illegal abortions. However, people can buy contraception goods in Brazil, so al most all people can use contraception. However, sometimes the contraception goods do not work, so people have a baby accidentally, but they also cannot get an abortion. J. Ross (2005) also mentions a true story in which a husband raped his wife. The wife did not want to have children, but the government did not accept her abortion. In addition, street children are a big problem in Brazil. Street children came from deserted children or runaway children. They are surviving themselves. Some street children search for food from garbage cans. However, some street children are makes street crimes, because they do not have enough food. Their targets are rich people. C. Brandao (1995) in “The Killings Escalate in Brazil,” mentions that rich people employ killers to kill children for private security. Also, the killing of children is a business. In addition, this business helps killers’ lives to by make money. This author also mentions that killers do not get guilt or punishment, because they are protected by employers and judgments are loose. Therefore, killing of children has escalated. However, the government does not protect street children, because there are too many street children in Brazil. Also, Brazil is debiting money from the country’s people. According to Britannica Online’s “Brazil, the Economy” (2007, p, 29), an “Almost continuously high rate of inflation in the last 20th century affected every aspect of Brazil’s economic life”. Therefore, they do not have enough money, so they cannot take care of these children.

Brazil has a lot of problems, which are Illegal abortion, street children, and population. If Brazil wants to reduce these problems they should accept abortion because there are three reasons, helping women, decreasing street children, and controlling population.

First of all, governments should protect women, because many women try to take illegal abortions. These abortions have high risks and sometimes cause dath. Abortion is always a wound, just of women’s bodies and hearts. According to J. Ross (2005, paragraph, 12) in Women’s e News, “an estimated 5,000 women die, and 800,000 are hospitalized every year as result of clandestine abortions across the region, according to the international planned parenthood federation”. Although getting abortions is not permited according to their religion, so some people do not accept religion, so government should change the law to protect these women. Therefore if they can make laws without their religion, they can help a number of women who are dying.

Second, there are a lot of street children in Brazil. Street children are trying to survive on their own, so government should protect and support them, because there are more children who are killed in Brazil. According to C. Brandao (1995, paragraph, 4), “In 1994, 1221 minors were killed in the State of Rio de Janeiro, an average of more of more than three kids every day; 570 died from gunshot wounds, and a total of 344 were under the age of 11”, so a lot of children are killed every day. Their religion does not accept abortion, but it accepts killing children. In addition, intrinsically adults must protect children. If government does not have enough money to protect street children, people should not make street children, so they should accept abortion, because the parents of street children are too irresponsible; they already have discarded their religion. There fore, Government should make a choice for people. It is better and more moral than allowing unwanted children to be killed.

Finally, government should control population, because they cannot support poor families. Brazil has too much difference in fortunes in society between rich and poor. Children are costly. If they cannot accept abortion without exceptional instance, poor people cannot continue their lives. Also, there is a large population in Brazil, but government does not control population, because of their religion. According to BBC. News (2007), their religion thinks having children is good, so killing children is taboo, like abortion. Therefore, government making laws allowing abortion is forbidden. However, the law already makes street children. It will make more street children. They just grow their population in vain.

Opponents of regal abortion say that accepting abortion is a blasphemy against god. However, they think abortion is blasphemy against god, but killing children is not. Killing unborn babies and killing children is different. Unborn babies do not understand that they are being killed, but children can understand they are being killed and what caused them to die. They can feel fear. Religion does not give solution for people for this problem. People have to think themselves.
In conclusion, Brazil’s government should accept abortion, because it makes illegal abortion, which has killed a lot of women, there are a lot of children who are killed, and increasing number of street children in Brazil, and governments should control population. If Brazil changes law without their religion, people can have more choice in making children. Also, women can take abortion fairly, so they do not risk their dear life to get one. In addition, that will make no more street children. If they accept abortion, they can make a more peaceful life.

Reference

BBC News. (2007, July 07). If a father is a skillful carpenter, and also his son is a skillful carpenter, we say, “A Frog’s son is a frog.” However, Japanese people sometimes use this proverb for irony, for example when a governor’s son becomes a governor, a wrongdoer’s son is a wrongdoer. Japan has another proverb that has a similar meaning; “like father, like son,” which is “Blood is thicker than water.” This message is same as the frog’s son, but we use this proverb for a positive meaning. In addition, she mentions that killing children is a business in Brazil. The powerful elite pay killers to kill children for private security. The killers do not get guilt or punishment. This author also mentions why this business is profitable. Killing children is to help the killer’s life and to decrease street crimes. However this author suggests that these killings are escalating. Finally this author mentions how many children are killed a year. In my opinion, Governments should control number of street children to change the law to accept abortion.

First, Brazil should make laws without considering religion. Their religion does not accept abortions but accepting killing children is strange. Their religion helps prenatal children but it dose not help born children. The parents of street children are too irresponsible, so they already have discarded their religion.

Second, street children are trying to survive themselves; government should support them. Brazil has too much population to protect them, so if they do not have enough money to protect street children people should not make children. Government should make a choice for people. That is better than killing children in live moral life.
Finally, governments should make sex education programs to teach that contraception is important. If they cannot bring up children they should use contraception. However, sometimes despite people use of contraception, it does not work and sometimes they make children accidentally. Therefore, people need abortion.
In conclusion, Brazil should accept abortion because their religion does not help children, governments could not support street children and contraception sometimes does not work. He found a turtle, which was bullied by children. He has conscience so we helped the turtle. The turtle appreciated him, and the turtle acknowledged the kindness by take Tarou to Ryuugu castle, which is in the sea. The castle is inhabited by sea creatures and Otohime, who is the princess of sea. Taro enjoyed the castle life for many years. Then, when he did not know how many years the hehas been in the under the sea, he decided to go back to his house. When he prepared to leave the castle, Otohime gave him a box but she said, “Do not open the box.” When he was back to his hometown, everything had changed. His house was not there. There was no one Tarou knew in the towns. Tarou felt strange so he went back to the beach and was at a loss what to do next. Suddenly, he wanted to open the box. However, he had promised Otohime he wouldn’t open it, but he really wanted to open the box. Finally, he opened the box. Inside was empty, only a lot of smoke. Then, when Tarou was tucked in the smoke, he became an old man. Actually, he spent many years in Ryugu so he got old enough. First, this author mentions that illegal abortion is common in Brazil because women cannot get abortions even for marital rape, so they use private clinics to get illegal abortions. Second, this author talking about an ulcer drug, Cytotec, that is for treating ulcers is widespread use in Brazil. This pill gives a woman a miscarriage. Third, this author mentions that a high level of women die from illegal abortion in a year, so leftist try to forward women’s health activists. In addition this author introduces the idea of deleting the police report requirement, so Brazil still has a problem with women’s rights. Finally this author mentions woman’s rights. She hopes to women will have more free choice. However, Brazil’s government should make laws without religion.

First, government should control population, because they cannot support poor families. Brazil has too much difference fortunes in society between rich and poor. Children are costly. If they cannot accept abortion without exceptional instance, poor people cannot continue their lives. In addition, Brazil’s population was increased, but Brazil cannot control its population because their religion does not accept abortion. Therefore, Brazil’s law already makes street children. It will make more street children. Their religion does not help these children. They just grow population in vain.

Second, religious education is not always correct. Religious dogma hides social problems under a varnish of unclean. Therefore, if they make laws that include religious dogma, they cannot reduce illegal abortion, because there are many women who need to take abortion to disobey religious education.

Third, they should protect women, because many women still try to take illegal abortions or take ulcer drugs. Those abortions and pills have high risks, and sometimes cause death. However, to take abortion is not according to their religion, so some people do not accept religion so government should change its mind and take care of these women. Therefore, if it allows legal abortion, it can help to reduce the number of women’s deaths.

In conclusion, government should change laws without their religious education, because they should control population to reduce street children, religious education is not always good, and they should support women. Just following religious education is an old age law, because now we have different social problems. The good old days are over. If they can make the laws that match the needs of society, Brazil will have a good social conscience.

Reference
Ross, J. (2005, May 15). Some families have problems, so they will decide to divorce. Same families have difficult relationships with children. How can people escape from these problems? That family should become the best family. The best family has no strict rules and is generous with each other. There are three reasons why this family is the best family; there is a good relationship with children, there are no fights in the family, and they will help each other.

First of all, the best family’s parents have a good relationship with children because they do not have strict rules in the family. When children are in a rebellious stage, they do not listen parents’ opinions. Also children try to find out who they are, so they need freedom. There fore, parents should watch what children do. If the parents make strict rules, children rebel against the parents. However, the parents should be model adults because children will do an imitation of them. They can have a good relationship with children.

Second, the best family does not have fighting with each other, because if they are generous with each other they can settle problems by talking. In addition, if they are respect each other, parents do not deceive other people. Also, if children learn how to respect each other, children do fewer misdemeanors. Therefore, the family does not have problems.

Finally, the best family can help each other. If the family gets problems, like the father become unemployed or the parents get injured; for example, the farter gets injured, the mother has to work, so the children do housework or take care of the father. The best family helps each other.

Opponents of the best kind of family say that if the parents give children freedom, they will become delinquent. Young people want to be delinquent. However, if parents make strict rules, children will rebel against the parents; for example, parents make a curfew, but children want to have more time. They will fight, because children think parents do not understand them and parents want to control their children. However, children need this free time or these experiences, because when they get old enough, they cannot do the amusements of childhood. In addition, this stage is to prepare to be adults so children should go out to learn about the social world, social rules, and norms. Making strict rules is nonsense, and it is just parents’ self complacency.

In conclusion, a family should become the best family because the family can have a good relationship with children, they will not make problems, and the family is helpful. Parents should become model adults and children should watch parents and learn about what are adult. Also, family members must respect each other, and do not makes problems. The best family helps each other so the family becomes cooperative. Those things are important for family. To be generous and have no strict rule is keywords for becoming the best family.

by Hiro

We attend to the CESL. In this article mentions that people can make paper from animal poop. Also this article mentions Australian company tries to produce Kangaroo poop to make good quality paper. According this article, Africa and Asia already use paper which made from elephants poop. The Thai center said they can make 115sheet of paper from 100pounds of dung and this center sells that elephant draw a picture on the paper. In this article also mentions that Manager Joanna Gari who suggests the paper has grate value and good effect for kids.

In my opinion, this project which makes paper from animals poop will help to decrease the global worming. We use a lot of papers that made from trees. Trees help to decrease the CO2 so if we protect the trees we can protect the earthen from worming up. If the poop papers are getting popularizing, we should use these paper because universities use a lot of papers. Today I receive 5 papers, 16 students in my class so we already use 80 papers a day. Also this school has 5 classes so may be we already use the over 100 pounds of elephant dung a day.

Hiro

Hiroyuki Asano
AE2 writing
Summary Response

In the article, “The Quest to End Game Addiction,” by Julia Scheeres states that ideas about game addiction; that gamers are interested in games and they cannot quit games. First of all, this author mentioned EQ, which is EverQuest or EverCrack, in which players feel that they slip in to the game. In addition, the author mentioned stories of people who have game addiction. In my opinion, there are a lot of game addicted people in Japan. I think game addiction is very bad.

First of all, game addiction is bad for human relations. When they get jobs, they have to relate to coworkers, but they cannot join them, because it is difficult finding similar interests. They feel lonely and then they would lose jobs.

Second, a lot of game addicted people do not have jobs, so they are parasitic on their parents. Parents cannot control them because they did not control them in their childhood. Parents save their life.

Finally, some game addicted people cannot separate the real world and the game world. In addition there are a lot of violent programs in game programs, so they commit crimes. For example, a game addicted person who can not separate realty from fantasy plays a violent action game. The person does not hesitate to do the violence in reality.

In conclusion, game addiction is not good, because they can not have good relationships with other people, they have trouble with family, and they can not separate real from not real, so they should play games moderately.

Reference
Julia,Scheeres,(2001, dec-05)."The Quest End Game Addiction."
http:www.wired.com/news/holidays/0,1882,48479,00.htm
here.

(11/29/2006 12;45pm)

Hiroyuki Asano
AE2 writing
Summary

In the article, “Schwarzenegger tackles paparazzi,” the author mentions that governor Arnold Schwarzenegger subscribed to a bill. A political cartoon is when some one draws a picture that has information about political issues. Political cartoons make it simple to understand the political cartoon’s information. In my country, sociology teachers use political cartoons in sociology class. Political cartoons influence people’s opinion.

First of all, political cartoons are information about famous person’s bad information, so people get bad image of the person. For example, political cartoons of President Bush are often on web sites, because he is a president, so he has a lot of news. Now, some people think that the president did bad things a lot. Bad information makes us believe that the man is untrustworthy.

Second, political cartoon’s characters have big impact. The political cartoon’s character is evil, so people get a bad image of the person. Cartoons character’s front teeth are rather prominent and have bloodshot eyes, but the character is similar to the person. The characters have a message. People get a bad image of the person from the character.

Finally, a political cartoon has the writer’s opinion, so people sympathize with that. For example, the writer draws the president as selfish. People are influenced by the opinion. After that, they think the president is selfish.

In conclusion, political cartoons influence many people. There are three reasons; political cartoons have information about bad person, and political cartoons have effective pictures, and political cartoons have writer’s opinions. The political cartoon’s character is sometime not truth, so it is important to keep your opinion. You should keep coming away with the feeling that persons were a good or bad.

Weblog assignment#2
I visited napster-music sharing . My favorite kind of media is Internet.

First of all, people can check all news on the Internet, so people can choose what news they want to know.

Second people can check the news any time. TV and radio have programs, so people have to watch the news on time, but on the Internet they can check the news any time.

Third, the Internet has intelligible news. People check all news about the same topic, so people can understand more.

In conclusion, my favorite media is Internet, because Internet has all news, Internet is open any time, and people can research the news. Internet is convenient.

Weblog Assignment #3

Hroyuki
I visited here.
